Gentle Giant In A Glass House
Voto:
Perhaps this is their most complex and difficult-to-read work. Among all, I prefer Experience, a fantastic piece. However, I lean towards the first three albums and "The Power & the Glory." The review is great, although I would have focused more on the album than on the initial discourse, even though it is very interesting. I agree with the definition of king of prog, although I wouldn’t forget King Crimson...

So if you're only complaining about the term "illiterate," it means that the other things correspond to reality: -masturbator, -scriptwriter, -scandalous, -ignorant, -pathetic...:-D

In my opinion, Kevin Moore with his keyboards really changed the sound of the songs, creating unique atmospheres, and he was perfectly integrated with the fabric of the tracks; Rudess, on the other hand, seems much more concerned with constantly showing off with hyper-technical and hyper-fast solos that, to be honest, become tedious after a while. The difference is noticeable, for example, when they now play past tracks; Rudess simply reproduces Moore's parts exactly (without giving them the same emphasis), or when he wants to change something, he does purely academic improvisations that leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth.

I slightly change my assessment of the album after listening to it more thoroughly, and I say: on the first CD, both "Blind Faith" and "Disappear" are fantastic, while "The Great Debate," despite having some great moments, feels a bit too long and becomes exhausting. Additionally, I disagree with the lyrics, which, while presenting both sides of the debate around embryonic stem cell research, are clearly biased towards the Catholic fundamentalist Republicans (just like Petrucci, after all). The suite "Six Degrees..." is stunning and almost perfect, except for a few too many bravado moments in "The Test That Stumped Them All." Therefore, the album isn't a full 5, but overall I think it exceeds a 4.5, so it seems fair to raise the score.
King Crimson In the Wake Of Poseidon

This is music! Mystery, passion, melancholy, power. Without words.

Your nickname is already better now ;-D Are you a hard rock fan? Do you appreciate Page&Plant?
Pearl Jam Pearl Jam
Voto:
Yes, but a true fan knows that now at concerts they perform half as much as in the early '90s, so it's fine to go, but don’t get too excited about paying 50 euros to see a band that has almost none of the grit and passion it once had.
Pearl Jam Vitalogy

There are excellent episodes, but all in all, I prefer the first two albums. Corduroy is phenomenal!

I had understood that this was your opinion for a while; what I’m futilely trying to ask you is the motivation behind this theory of yours. And please don’t respond with the Mona Lisa or Van Gogh's sunflowers, because you cannot prove that there hasn’t been anyone capable of creating a work superior to them in terms of artistic genius (NOT TECHNICAL BUT ARTISTIC), but who unfortunately lacked the means and opportunity to make it known or was unjustly ignored by the critics of later times, and thus remained unknown to history.
