@Justice: Godspeed You Black Emperor make great, original, intense, and deeply moving music, but I understand that if you're not accustomed to post-rock or psychedelia, it can initially be hard to digest. In any case, one needs a certain maturity to appreciate albums like F#A#(Infinity) or Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven, especially if you approach the listening with preconceived notions or if you're not familiar with these genres. The fact remains that the latest DT effort is a cheap and bland little disk, even without making unfair comparisons to the sacred monsters of post-rock.

A beautiful, powerful, and sincere grunge concoction that oozes '90s vibes, with big riffs galore and a cavernous bass in true Seattle style (even though they formed in NY). Alternative metal owes a lot to Helmet as well. "Milquetoast" is a fucking punch in the face.

Interesting group and album, worth keeping an eye on.
Bark Psychosis Hex

Another melancholic unknown gem worth exploring, especially for fans of psychedelia and post-ambient. Probably among the best 15-20 works of 1994. "Fingerspit" and "Pendulum Man" stand out above all. I give it a 5 rating, even though a 4 and a half would be more appropriate... (considering there are those who give 4 or 5 stars to the "new wonders" Battles just to sound important...)

This album is the culmination of everything I can't stand about DT and what I hoped would disappear after the Octavarium interlude... after Six Degrees they have been declining more and more with each album... I truly can't give more than 2 stars, even trying hard.

Red Sparowes Every Red Heart Shines Toward The Red Sun

This album is something that cannot be described... it’s everything I currently seek in a record: restless atmospheres, reflective, full of pathos, psychedelia, space-rock, post-rock at its peak, extreme executional grace, extraordinary compositions, and a fascinating concept. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates the genre, it’s a work packed with ideas... Along with Panopticon and In the Absence of Truth by Isis, it might be the absolute pinnacle in its field.
