The Brian Jonestown Massacre Take It From The Man!
Voto:
Great unknown band, surprising album in the freshness of the almost "big-name" reinterpretation of various styles from the late '60s. Excellent vintage instruments and continuous references.

The concert of The Lamb left me speechless with its sound quality, to the point that I felt really bad when I read about the overdubs... I would have ranked it among the best live performances in history without any hesitation, but since it's not the exact document of the concert, I'll always have my doubts. Nevertheless, it remains a box set of great value. The first 2 CDs are still the main course.
Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck Le Vite Degli Altri
Voto:
certainly one of the best films of 2006, a harsh indictment of the STASI and its abuses, a sad and dramatic portrait of the GDR, but above all the incredible performance of Ulrich Mühe who, with just his eyes, reveals streams of inner emotions among the most diverse.
Nirvana Live At Reading
Voto:
Superb live, excellent sound quality, band in top shape, unfortunately only 4 tracks from "Bleach" ("School" literally heart-stopping, "Negative Creep" is perfect to drive your neighbors crazy), the whole "Nevermind" (except "Something in the Way") and much more. All in all, 5 stars for the quantity and quality of the pieces, the excellent recording and mastering, the band's performance. Historical document.
Botch We Are The Romans

earthquakes of unheard power, among the most devastating metalcore tracks ever, but also much more... the electronic tail is unexpected, as are "Swimming Channel vs. Driving the Chunnel" and the monumental "Man the Ramparts"
Red House Painters Down Colorful Hill
Voto:
The strength of discs like this is undoubtedly the lyrical aspect, in this case full of melancholy and sadness, while musically it doesn't ignite my imagination too much, although "24," "Medicine Bottle," and "Lord Kill the Pain" are quite respectable tracks.
Keith Jarrett La Scala
Voto:
Keith Jarrett's concerts are generally an indescribable experience, but here we're at exceptionally high levels of the sublime. Between this, Vienna, and Cologne, I wouldn't know which one to choose.
Bernard Hermann Taxi Driver Soundtrack
Voto:
Like most original soundtracks, it comes to life more vividly when you mentally associate the various scenes of the film with the different tracks. "Betsy's Theme," which resurfaces here and there, is extraordinarily evocative of the city's night streets, but even the more tension-filled passages (which actually cover most of the album) evoke the film's entire dramatic essence. An outstanding OST.
Jesus Lizard Goat
Voto:
highly disturbing, madness perfectly represented in the shocking lyrics of "Lady Shoes"... suffocating the delirium of "Seasick"
The Police Outlandos D'Amour
Voto:
One of the best debut albums of the new-wave era, three exceptional musicians on their respective instruments. Among the all-time power trios, I place them just behind Jimi Hendrix Experience, Rush, Dinosaur Jr., and Primus, immediately ahead of Cream, Nirvana, and The Jam.
