I haven't bought the CD yet, but I've heard a few tracks, among which "golden skans" stands out... those choirs that you criticize so much are actually very cool, to use your words... if the album isn't that cool, it doesn't matter, but "golden skans" is a fresh and fun song.

curious and funny the reason why you bought the CD... in my opinion, however, there is a big difference between Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and Siamese Dream. The former, perhaps, rather definitely, because it’s a double album, is harder to listen to and sometimes even boring, while the latter is more immediate, more concise, and manages to be appreciated better. That said, it doesn't take away from the fact that those two albums, especially the red one, remain a great achievement for all the music of the 90s.
