Perhaps one should reconsider the rating system; a 5 for "Master of Puppets" doesn't equal a 5 for "Hybrid Theory." Maybe each genre and each album should have its own scale. That said, I reiterate that within its genre (however one might define it), I consider it an excellent album—each to their own.

First of all, the track by track isn't the best (even though I, unfortunately, made a similar statement in a review a while back), and I especially don't understand the enthusiasm for an album that is more emo than metalcore, which offers little (The flood, This war is ours) and nothing (almost all the rest), with overly sentimental rhythms mixed with pseudo metalcore that stands on its own. Why is so much criticism directed at Bullet For My Valentine and not these four recommended ones? And then, for a scandal, the leader gets kicked out? What kind of band is this? Could it be that they are somehow "controlled" by the record label? Wouldn’t it be unclean to have such an 'inconvenient' character in a band for 'alternative' kids (ages 14 to 18)... well, in my opinion, they are an overrated band.

Yes, you are right. At that time, I considered Darkhorse superior to this album; now I believe the opposite, and I think the reality of the matter is that this album is indeed better than the second one, simply because it is more inspired and also because I am definitely less blinded by the Nu metal trend that heavily affected the CT with the aforementioned Darkhorse.
