We Hal, why did you give it a 4??? If this album deserves a 4, the only albums worth a 5 would be Third and Rock Bottom!!!

What an album! And what a pleasure to listen to it for the thousandth time! It has all the elements to be defined as the best metal album ever made, but here, dear metalheads, we go beyond: the technical and compositional skill marries perfectly with the sharpness of the lyrics, this is where prog metal establishes itself! For an album like this, the review should be at least 10 times longer than the one you've written... not to mention the content...

Dear nostalgic friend, you are completely mistaken: "The Division Bell" enjoys its moments of top-notch art music from the '90s, and if we want to be precise, "High Hopes," while beautiful, is among the simplest tracks on the album, where the instrumental "Marooned" really takes center stage. I agree with floydman: the label "pathetic" suits you perfectly. However, I haven't listened to the album in question yet.
