Beatles Lucy In The Sky With Diamond

I don't agree with taking a song out of the context of a concept, nor that this album is the most alternative (which depends on what you mean), nor that it is the least pop. And it doesn't make sense to say that this song doesn't belong to any genre.

Sorry Fripp, you say that the first two Soft Machine albums are highly praised... not to brag, but my review of Third was also among the recommended ones.. take a look if you want. And regarding ELP, start with the first self-titled album, definitely superior to Tarkus, in fact if I were you I would actually begin with the Nice.

Robert, how can you call ELP mediocre composers if you only own Tarkus? They may not be exceptional as composers, but to label them as mediocre is a stretch!! Anyway, get the first one, the self-titled, you'll be amazed!! Just think, it was my first prog CD!

Paloz, if your intention is to honor this artist, try to do it differently; I repeat, change your approach!
The Beatles Love

So: the fact that it's a shamelessly commercial operation says nothing about the quality of the album; the fact that the Martin family didn't correct any notes or tapes says nothing about the actual result, given that some overdubs, even though typical of the Beatles, could have been avoided; the fact that, in my opinion, only "Come Together" stands up to the original doesn't diminish the value of the other songs anyway; the fact that the Beatles are great is independent of listening to this album. I am still sure that Lennon is turning in his grave, but I repeat, I don't mind this album at all.
Pink Floyd Echoes

And the most beautiful thing is that everything flows smoothly because it's descriptive, managing to make us visualize the albatrosses, the caves, the foreigners passing by on the street, and above all, making us hear the echoes of nature.
Pink Floyd Echoes

Or rather: Robert Wyatt's search for inner self has been merely the apex of one of the many "cultured" aspects of music. In a different yet certainly comparable manner, Pink Floyd aimed to highlight its meaning, masterfully managing to embed it all within a fantastic, visionary, or mythological context (see also the previous title of Echoes), however you want to put it.
Pink Floyd Echoes
Voto:
Let us remember that in music, underwater landscapes have often been used as a metaphor for the depth of the human soul. And this, which in Echoes is just one of many elements to highlight, has been masterfully captured by Robert Wyatt in his masterpiece "Rock Bottom." Not that I mean to suggest anything significant, but it absolutely cannot be overlooked as an additional reason to praise the piece in question. The embryonic title of Echoes is "The Return of the son of nothing," and it would be foolish to consider the lyrics as crude fantasies; fantasies, yes, but a reflection of real, concrete, and above all "profound" elements.
