THE REVIEW

Jack writhed in agony.
He cried.
He died.
He laughed.
<< What did you give me?>>
<< LSD>>
Then Jack started hearing the hallelujah chorus and seeing strange things.
He began to dance with skeletons, scream at politicians who seemed to insult him, then he started running.
He ran on the surface of the ocean.
A staircase rose to the sky.
At the top were the Beatles.
They started to play.

"Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" is a song found in the masterpiece "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band". The Beatles invented a genre, pop rock, and they also knew how to shape and change it in all their albums.

This album is the most alternative and least pop of the Beatles, with strange songs ("A Day in the Life") and other songs that mix rock, alternative, and pop with everyday sounds.
The song I am reviewing is one that doesn't belong to any genre, it tells a story, that of a fantastic world where there is this presence in the sky, Lucy.

Lennon's voice, fittingly out of tune and vibrant, mixes with McCartney's who performs the chorus with a celestial and crystal-clear voice. A strange but beautiful song that will make you travel to the strangest places in your mind.

Jack descended the stairs. That song had made him happy.
Walking on water turned out to be impossible for him.
He couldn't swim.
He drowned.
