Many of the supergroups from the '70s are remembered, but I love them because they are so sweet!!! And then ecology is one of the many sacred foundations of that hippie ideology that I hold so dear :-))))

I listened to the record in question back in the day and it left me somewhat indifferent. I appreciate Italian music for quite different reasons. "Abbey Road" is perhaps the best album by the Beatles, and it's liked by Martians, Earthlings, Lunarians, and Plutonians :-)

I am not a fan of Dream Theater, but this album, in my opinion, represents the triumph of aesthetics and technique in the musical landscape of the last twenty years. The fact that a not particularly excellent singer like James LaBrie dares to stand alongside superb musicians, especially Petrucci and Myung, is certainly worthy of praise. I am not too bothered by the fact that a moment of Petrucci's solo is similar to one of my beloved Gilmour's, nor that a certain passage reminds me of a song from the '70s, nor that some people describe them as cold or lacking a structural and compositional foundation. It seems to me that for 30 years there have been those who have presented absolutely identical songs, especially in the realms of punk, pop, hard rock, thrash metal, nu-metal, and rap. Having been taught by the greatest bands in the history of music and being able to reinterpret that message in a modern way, all while showcasing technical skill and precision that is nothing short of impressive, rightly places Dream Theater in the pantheon of rock. Criticizing this album, as well as some of the previous works of this band, is a sign of lack of objectivity, of futile alternative thinking, and, from some musicians, particularly of burning envy. Metropolis Pt. 2, whether one likes it or not, superbly stands at the end of the musical '90s, and it can only be fresh air for the lungs of us listeners.

Your reviews are incredibly interesting; I will never get tired of saying it. Well done, Bassi! Thanks to you, good music is emerging online. Like most of the masterpieces you’ve uncovered, this album is also unknown to me, but I have no doubt it's worth a listen; in fact, I'll do my best to get my hands on it.
