Matt Reeves Cloverfield
Voto:
I agree with the reviewer, I watched it last night, and although the story is something we've seen a hundred times, the "way" it's told is innovative (hand-held camera, almost total absence of music, "you" are the little guy running and filming), but above all, it manages to keep you on edge for an hour and twenty of film. Almost the whole film is good, although with some flaws: how do you survive a helicopter that has crashed to the ground? At the beginning of the film, there’s a caption that says the film is derived from an SD card of a camera, but at one point the protagonist asks the guy filming: "Are you recording on the tape that was inside?" ... SD and tape are not compatible! :=) ... Anyway, aside from a few ingenuities, the suspense is at a nearly constant level throughout the film’s duration, and when it drops, you should expect an adrenaline-pumping twist. Rating 3.5 rounded down. Good review.

a great review for a group that deserves to be rediscovered; in the United States they sell a pack that contains this album and "the glow of love", I think I'll definitely make the purchase. I must confess that I have a weak spot for reviews that not only talk about the album but also recount the backstory and the circumstances of its release, and you do just that, WELL DONE! Imagine, I have the mix of "paradise", I adored it back in 1981... but tell me about the assassination of Petrus, I knew nothing about it!

I bought it in 1996, but I believe that if you search a little well, you'll find it. For example, I just did a search on eBay and there's one for sale from Japan for $9.99, less than 7 euros. Check out Amazon and similar sites as well. Happy hunting, you'll see it's worth it!!!

Since it's a mystery... did you really think it was necessary to reveal EVERYTHING???

mistake error, it's SIESTA and not FIESTA!

@thirdeye: definitely if you want to start with something from the '80s, follow primiballi and get this record! Amandla is also really nice, even if it's definitely Chapter II of TUTU. Someone up there mentioned FIESTA, which I loved a lot back then, but I definitely need to dig it out!

I liked it, just as I liked the other two by the Coppola ... definitely a child of art (or of daddy?), anyway, the work speaks for itself.
Peter Jacques Band Welcome Back

Wow!!! Am I the first to comment? What an honour! You won't get many votes, simply because this band made a big splash in '79 with "Walking on Music" (a bit with the entire EP), but believe me, I bought it on cassette and later on LP, and for months that year, I listened to nothing else! CHANGE took off much more, as you rightly point out, starting from a common ground with PJB (Malavasi and the production), but they had different intentions, wanting to get closer to CHIC than to The Ritchie Family. Good luck with the repeshage, thanks!

I quote bjorky, the single is from the autumn of '79.
