Well, in the end, you all seem like fake alternatives, ready to trash Negrita just because they make a song that's a bit "easy" and radio-friendly, simply because they're Italian and sing in Italian. The point is that Negrita has never bothered anyone, they stay on the fringes and are perfectly happy with it, capturing a small slice of the market, having their fans, and couldn't care less about playing at S. Siro or a Festa dell'unità.. For them, it's enough to just play. And Negrita knows how to play, whether you like it or not. And live, they deliver 1000 times better than a Vascone or a Lagabuccia.. It's just easy to lump them in with everything else just because the lyrics are in Italian. An honest band, good music, lyrics that stray from the usual.. Highly listenable, for sure. Just because they’re not the same as at the beginning, they're to be snubbed? Just because they've now moved towards Caribbean and/or reggae vibes? Who knows.. In my book, this is called a band's evolution (positive or negative is subjective, but at least there's an evolution), while other musicians have been stagnant for 20 years.. Give the money back to dad, he's the alternative one.
