Anyway dear Marco, be patient, but I want to go track by track:
1. First of all, let me introduce myself, I am MarcoSanitarium (we already knew that, unless your name is really like that on your birth certificate... Anyway, nice to meet you, Iâm Cornell and thatâs what Iâm called on my birth certificate.), and as you can tell from this first review of mine, I am a fan of Metallica (really?)... (I also listen to Black Sabbath, Manowar, Morbid Angel, Slayer (at least put in a couple of dots, otherwise it seems like your listening ends there..)
2. What Iâm about to review is their latest album "Death Magnetics" (why Magnetics?)
3. Metallica is an American thrash metal band (Really? I thought they were a super popular ballroom dance group at local fairs), formed in 1981. They have sold over 100 million records (so it would be best to say enough, letâs give space to the young ones) and are, if not the inventors, one of the most important bands in metal (the inventors of metal? Metallica? Who are BLACK SABBATH then? And you even say you listen to them..). But letâs skip the biographical notes and move on to the album! (oh, thank goodness, come on..)
4. First of all, the cover is very beautiful in pure thrash style, a genre they first invented and then brought all over the world... but letâs leave the talks about covers to the posers, itâs the album that interests us XD. (Beautiful, really, speechless.. Letâs leave the discussions to the posers..)
5. James is always number one with his powerful and masculine voice (what a man, I get POLLUTION IN MY PANTS every time he opens his mouth.), Lars is very good (very good? If you listen well, youâll realize itâs time for him to stop with the fills, maybe he could get away with it at 18, but now he misses beats embarrassingly, the guitars are always ahead.), Kirk, plus the new addition Robert Trujillo (who fits in like an electric eel in my underwear) are no less, and their way of playing is, coincidentally as always... MAGNETIC!! (What a fantastic comparison! Did it come to you in a dream while you were thinking about what to write? Anyway, I never hear Trujilloâs bass, what the hell did they hire a bassist for?)
6. But letâs get to the album, it starts with This Was Just Your Life, and The End Of The Line, good tracks (good tracks?) supported by beautiful solos (beautiful solos?) by Kirk Hammet (Doesnât Hammett spell with two tâs? Maybe Iâm wrong..)! Broken Beat And Scarred is very technical, and Metallica reminds us that they are not second to anyone on the scene, the same goes for All Nightmare Long, a very nasty song (scary.. a very technical song? Come on Metallica, at least on a guitar level this is the first thing you should expect, weâre not talking about Oasis..)
7. The Day That Never Comes (Unlistenable, a mishmash of déjà-vu trying to return to Master of Puppets, but here we are in 2009, and a solo that winks, nose, and ears all together to Highway Star) and Cyanide are nice, but a little too light for those who are used to the good things since the days of "Master Of Puppets" (youâve been stuck in 1986? 23 years have passed damn!). Unforgiven III is a very sweet and emotional ballad (Yes, but you know, when youâve already made a song like Unforgiven that you did well, I wouldnât drag the dead horse tied to the wagon for too long, Iâd just bury it.. Movies are already boring with sequels, except for Saw, but even IV gets annoying..). The Judas Kiss and Suicide And Redemption show us the great technique achieved by those who have years and years of supremacy in the scene behind them. Finally, My Apocalypse is quite enjoyable, but itâs a track more suitable for headbangin (headbanging, or am I wrong?) than for simple listening!! (Exactly, every time I hear it, I get an uncontrollable urge to throw myself out the window with the stereo!)
8. In conclusion, nice album, the criticisms from the most hardened anti (emo, street types, etc.) (what genre do these street types belong to? Wha
