David Bowie Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture
Voto:
The review perfectly suits the album in question, by the artist who has most profoundly marked my musical "childhood."
The Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet

the stones in their time of splendor. what nostalgia...
Paolo Sorrentino Il Divo
Voto:
When I saw it, I was thrilled. Maybe, as has often happened to me, if I watched it a second time I would tone it down, but for now it remains my favorite Italian film of the new millennium. In my opinion, the director did well not to focus too much on the process, to avoid making it a documentary or a simple pamphlet: in fact, it is yes a film about the First Republic but, above all, about power.

Very interesting. I will definitely look for these because based on how you described them, they should appeal to me quite a bit.

You wrote a beautiful review and reminded me that I somewhere have an audio cassette with this record, of unknown origin, that I have never listened to until today. It might be time to pick it up again…
Tangerine Dream Zeit
Voto:
I prefer Atem and Alpha Centauri by Tangerine Dream; this is much more "dense" and it really tests even the most trained ear. Anyway, I really like them, even if they are not exactly the most accessible among the kraut groups. Their album covers are always noteworthy, especially the one (for me quite unsettling) of Atem.
Alan Sorrenti Aria
Voto:
It's a strange feeling to think that the author of "Tu sei l'unica donna per me" is the owner of what I consider one of the best Italian albums of all time. However, the music is perfect, beautiful, extraordinary; the voice (except in moments when Sorrenti tends to overdo it, sounding like a strangled hen) is very beautiful.

The album by The Way We Live is one of my favorites from that time, highly recommended. I think I’ll look for that.
Metamorfosi Inferno
Voto:
it’s not a bad job, although after a while all these keyboards really bore me. Among local prog bands, I prefer those who rely less on keyboards and use electric instruments more (for example Museo Rosenbach). Anyway, I completely agree with Ole’s last comment about prog vocals. Sometimes, the naivety (but especially the pretentiousness) of certain albums like this one annoys me, and in this regard, my tastes and opinions have changed quite a bit compared to 1 or 2 years ago.

Truly an excellent freak record. Steve Hillage is, as always, a guarantee.
