I haven't read one of his books that I didn't like.

No songwriter has managed to match in effectiveness and magnificence a line like "I feel like the ceiling of a bombed church."
Black Sabbath Sabotage

It may not be a masterpiece like the first three, but it holds a good level (Megalomania is a gem).

There are some truly beautiful tracks (Russia On Ice, Hate Song, but above all, in my opinion, Last Chance To Evacuate) and others that clash quite a bit due to the desire to sound "modern" and easily consumable at all costs. For example, Four Chords That Made A Million has guitar parts that seem excessive to me; they don’t really seem to belong to him. At times, they almost seem to be mimicking Radiohead's Just or some grunge band. I preferred them when they were revisiting progressive and psychedelia.

The albums from Metallica's Burton era are a delight even for those like me who don't love metal. In my opinion, this is the weakest of the three, but there are enviable touches of class (The Call Of Ktulu).

The Italian in the previous post is not exactly impeccable, but oh well...

So, I’ll start by saying that I adore them, that they have represented the soundtrack of a significant part of my life, and that in my fandom, I can fully enjoy even what, as far as I can see, is not just my opinion, their weakest album, namely I Milanesi. That said, when I heard about their participation in Sanremo, I was quite disappointed, thinking that they didn't need to "dirty themselves" by ending up in that horrible spectacle. Now, with some relief, I can say that I don’t believe they’ve lost even a pinch of their integrity: they went there with a deliberately clumsy song, melodically not even remarkable, and with lyrics that do not deal with "sun, heart, love." I commend them for presenting this song, considering that it would have been enough for them to compose even just a new "Dentro Marylin" to appear, even if only slightly, more pleasing to the lobotomized Sanremo audience and avoid being eliminated right away. And the project surrounding the song is commendable (even though I think everyone here knows the included artists). Anyway, I'm glad they managed to get through this challenge, and speaking as a fan(atical) (I take the liberty of being a die-hard and irrational fan of at least one band), my admiration for them hasn’t diminished at all.

I can't give less than 5 to the latest studio album of the Holy Trinity of Hawkwind, who to me lose nothing with the addition of House, on the contrary. The opening triptych is nothing short of miraculous.
Rod Stewart Never A Dull Moment

After the (fantastic) review, I believe that if I come across one of his albums from that period, I won't hesitate to buy it. For now, I admit that I only know A Nod is as Good as a Wink by the Faces, great rough rock.
