Epic, definitely one of the best characters of recent years, perhaps of all time.

I don't understand the poetic tendency towards the absurd in certain local Heavy Metal; in grindcore, the element of irony plays its part, but sometimes, taking oneself a bit seriously wouldn't be a bad thing in my opinion.

I'm raising your score a bit because the review is really nice XD

"Give these friendly pocket monsters the chance to wreak havoc on some instruments, and you'll end up with exactly this album." A phrase that quite faithfully captures the essence of I Melt Banana, not THEM; unfortunately, this framing underlines the entire review, because as it is written, it deserved more. In reality, although the trio has two female representatives, it is also true that much of what we hear comes from the guitarist Agata's instrument, which is not feminine. Nevertheless, they are great, and the mere effort to give space to their proposal is commendable.

@ConteDeSade: I stand corrected, I confused them with Death In June... never mind.

The review seems excellent to me. They are masters, with a great personality that they do not hesitate to question, and I have always found them to be in tune with the times. I haven't heard this yet.

"The album has two flaws: it's crap and it's an unbearably pretentious load of nonsense."
But what does "pretentious load of nonsense" mean? Anyway, these guys have nothing to do with Dead Can Dance.

@sickman_84: I read some of your comments, are you from my area too?

"The Marydolls are obedient to the paradigm, but as we know, mimesis is at the core of artistic creation, since the times of Homer. Following a canon does not necessarily entail mediocrity or a lack of personality. After all, in Italy, we are full of fundamentally grunge bands who are ashamed of their background, mediocre yet so praised, masters of blunders and absurdities that become embarrassing over time. If the Marydolls are copying Nirvana, at least they're doing it well."

The Marydolls and Homer in the same breath? And where would personality be, in the bassist's curls? This would score a 1 just for the nonsense in this paragraph, moreover, it's unclear what the rambling about the Sublime and the Uncanny had to do with it. At least the knowledge of Italian grammar is there, "and in these times, that's no small feat."
