Dear gilmour, I'm sorry, but after what you wrote today (and I imagine it took away your busy afternoon), I don't think I will accept advice on how to listen to music. "Perhaps the advantage of us 'prog' is that we are used to really listening to music..." I'm at a loss for words... The fact that you qualify it with "perhaps" saves you, judging by that. Tell me, are you a musician? Your comments STRIKE me as being focused solely on the quality of the instrument...

I thought I’d read a review about Nirvana and ended up in kindergarten.. Saying that Nirvana is more innovative than Floyd is really, really pushing it.. saying that Nirvana sucks, how can you like them and things like that etc. shows a musical fundamentalism that could leave even the Taliban surprised :) You "prog" people have such a limited view of music that it often leaves me speechless.. this sucks, that sucks.. and so forth with judgments that seem like verdicts.. I listen to everything from Tool to Mercury Rev casually, from Floyd to Liars. And I only allow myself to say crap about MTV pop, without shooting off hasty and pompous judgments. Sorry for the rant :)

I saw them live in Brescia too, convinced by a friend and the reasonable ticket price (10 or 12 euros).. I really don't like them much on record, but live it's definitely worth it. It's worth a try.
