"Why, do they still exist?? I also saw them at Independent Days 2002, they didn't impress me much... I was there for Jon Spencer Blues Explosion anyway... Who kicked ass." I was there at the concert too, and on the contrary, they impressed me live. On record, nothing special, but live that Gibson-esque kid really made a great impression on me. I repeat, in the studio they seem very disappointing to me, considering the media hype that surrounded them.

Thank you Clako, I swear I understood "TAKE IT WITH MEEEEEEEEE," thinking to myself, "this old man has become quite a jerk too.."

the concert video they held in Mexico in 2007 and the concert (audio and video) in Zaragoza (2007)... jeje I was actually at the fiesta del Pilar in Zaragoza and on October 10 they were playing. Tickets were completely sold out, even though I wasn't that interested in seeing them.

On a live level, in Spain these guys fill the stadiums 'a la vasco even today, just to be clear.. Small correction: it's written traición, with an accent :)

So you really don't get it. If you tell me "I don't speak as a fan," you can't also write "RATM, the best band from the nineties to today," do you see that there's something wrong with your reasoning? I'm not criticizing the fact that you love RATM to bits, but you can't deny that you're a hardcore fan if you write like that. By the way, I don’t know who the "best band from the nineties to today" is. You do.

Thank you to Cretinalbo, who with his totally objective viewpoint brings Nirvana into the conversation. While I was talking about the music of my youth, he claims it’s music for 16-year-olds, while the Rage, of course, have aspirations of gerontocrats. Then he cites their riffs, accusing them of plagiarism left and right, when it’s the same riffs from RATM that are lacking originality (if you talk about riffs, you’re shooting yourself in the foot, since pistolpete has already explained where they come from, I told you that you don’t read other people's posts).

"RATM, the best band from the nineties to today..." I'm quoting this from your review to help you understand how wrong you are when you tell us that you don't speak as a fan. Maybe this is the time you finally get it. It doesn't cost you anything to say, "Yeah guys, you’re right." We will forgive you.

This is your point of view, which I respect, but you keep talking like a fan and seeing RATM as innovators while shouting plagiarism at all the other mentioned bands: it's wrong, and if you don't realize it, my dear, I don't know what to tell you. Then what do the Smashing have to do with it? At 16 years old, I COULDN'T be a die-hard fan? Do you even read the posts or what? Don't rush to write, read what I've written before responding. You must learn to accept other people's viewpoints before throwing shade on things you don't know about.

@psychopompe .. Forgive me, I'm just a country bumpkin, and 10 years ago the Napster magic hadn't reached my home yet. I used to buy records from Giulio when I had my grandmother's 20,000 lire. Finding the original Mad Season at 14 was the most underground thing I knew, while all my classmates were listening to "Punk in Drublic". You have to appreciate the fact that I started listening to Seattle music way past its prime, around '97-98, when all the Nirvana and Soundgarden records were slowly disappearing from the shelves; if you wanted "Buzz Factory" you had to order it and wait two weeks (according to Giulio, it was always a month).
