Why does it impress you? Is it not politically correct enough? Is it not "peace, love, and imagination" so it’s crap? To return to Slayer, I've come to the conclusion that they joke about it. In the lyrics, there isn’t even a vaguely interpretable line that glorifies Nazism, but then Hannemann has totenkopf on his guitar keys. Is it bad to joke about it? Maybe. Sixty years have passed, I wasn’t there, neither was my father. No one wants to gas the Jews and conquer living space. France and Germany are ironclad allies and former fascists are now the best friends of the Jews. The world has changed, get used to it. Ah, my political thoughts have nothing to do with this.

In 1986, at least 4 albums struck a chord with extremism: those of Slayer, Dark Angel, Exodus, and Kreator. Not to mention what Quorthon was doing in Sweden... Let's be clear, though; I love this album. It was the first album I listened to, 10 years ago, and I still play it, but saying it's about musical extremism makes me smile a little. Anyone who hasn't listened to at least 100 albums shouldn't be writing reviews, anyway.
