The album is magnificent (slightly inferior to the first two), but the review doesn't do it justice. The analysis seems superficial to me; you've dismissed it too easily, speaking very little about its musical content and including a lot of, in my opinion, negligible considerations (like those about the cover). Furthermore, I don't want to be silly, but "bird" in English doesn't have the double meaning it has in Italian at all. And even if it did, perhaps you should have thought more about what to write in the review than about Mark's sexuality...

The review seems a bit confusing; at times it appears to string together words for the simple pleasure of seeing them lined up next to each other, with an expressive freedom and a self-satisfaction that is somewhat self-indulgent...but in many ways it is fully relevant. An excellent page, nonetheless. Sublime album, which needs no comments.

Monologues of the soul... white feather with unpredictable trajectories... You couldn't use better imagery to describe the music of this truly innovative artist, in my opinion. Of which I only possess the first, The Milk Eyed Mender, waiting for the release of this second work. I would have gladly written the review myself, but after reading yours, I believe it is truly impossible to do better.

No, I haven't heard it... are you referring to the album with Mark Lanegan, or has he released another one in the meantime? I'm not very well-informed about it. Right now I’m eagerly waiting for the latest Joanna Newsom to come out... which might have already been released. Do you like her? I think I would enjoy Isobell; the little I've heard with Lanegan really impressed me.

Remarkable analysis... but the album, in my humble and useless opinion, is the worst of their discography, and is one of those records that are more interesting to talk about than to listen to... it bored me quite a bit, but it’s probably my limitation. Maybe I should give it another chance.
