Lisa Germano In The Maybe World
Voto:
I was already a bit disappointed by Lullaby, but this In the maybe world doesn't even live up to its predecessor, and certainly can't compare to any of his first five albums. Listening to it, I got the impression that he concentrated his efforts on composing a few songs (Red Thread above all), and for the rest recycled tricks we were already used to, making the songs too similar to each other. His class is there, and it's evident, but it's certainly not a masterpiece. The review may be a bit hasty, but I understand the urgency of bringing attention to such a complete and (elsewhere) truly brilliant artist, yet overlooked. Some images are spot on...

Great review... I admit my ignorance, I’ve never even heard her name... but you’ve piqued my curiosity...

Good album and great review...I just can't see the resemblance to the early Björk...I don't know...maybe it's my limitation.

an extraordinarily beautiful review in its simplicity...the album, well, if I could give it 7 or 8 stars, I would...

mmmm, I don't like either the album or the review... and what's with the duration? I don't get it...

Frankly, I agree, I preferred Radiohead before and I loved them even after, but this album left me feeling a bit cold...

this is definitely the best review of this album on the site. The album is fantastic, but there's no need to reiterate that. I’d add that in my opinion it contains the most beautiful love song ever written: Lover you should've come over... congratulations again.

I'm sorry, but what album were you listening to? Clearly, you have the sensitivity of a gorilla. You can't summarize an album like this with such a sterile list of concise comments about the songs. It's obvious that you didn't understand anything about this singer...
Eels Electro-Shock Blues

Michi Lisa has collaborated with Eels on other albums as well. In Shootenanny (very nice), in particular, she is practically present in every song. On Lisa's website, there is a very nice video in which Eels sings on a television show and Lisa plays. Check it out... I saw a funny and self-deprecating Lisa that I didn't know...
