Let down is nothing short of moving, and the whole album has an exceptional tension, not even a filler... it's a shame that they seem to have lost their way a bit afterwards, in my opinion.

Franz Ferdinand You Could Have It So Much Better

It is evident that this is a band that does not make originality its strong suit, but lately in the pop scene I don’t see any bands deserving a ten and praise in this regard... it’s a compact, homogeneous album that recovers and enhances certain eighties sounds that have somewhat faded away, while maintaining that je ne sais quoi of "trendy" and captivating that initially attracted me to their first album. Criticizing them is legitimate, but slaughtering them seems out of place.

Sad girl and St. Petersburg are splendid, the rest is good, but not exciting.

My God, how many gratuitous vulgarities, don't you think you're exaggerating? Anyway, TRIPPING is fantastic!
Oasis Definitely Maybe
Voto:
among the best debut albums of all time... but don't tell me that Heaten Chemistry is good, dear marKo, because it’s their most bland cd....
Oasis Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants

Already mentioned elsewhere, this is a top-notch pop-rock album, with a few lapses and some sensational tracks... it deserves a seven or thereabouts, a nice effort after the mediocre Be Here Now... sure, Oasis aren’t the pinnacle of versatility, but have you ever seen Radiohead churn out an acid jazz album or Four Tet do punk? To each their own!
Oasis Don't Believe The Truth

I see that this album continues to be discussed, both positively and negatively, months later... a good sign. There's no need to say that I completely agree with Charles and Francis; as objective and balanced fans, we try to judge with a mind free from prejudice... one last thing: how can you not love "The importance of being idle"? It's a delightful track, the best single of the year according to the music magazine Q... oh, I almost forgot, Noel must have certainly bribed the judges :)

It’s a great CD, fast, fun, exciting with the three tracks from the White Album (Walk away, Eleonor put..., Fade together)... of course, the fact that they sell and that their clips are played on music TVs annoys some frustrated alternates who populate the site.
