but I don't consider them mediocre; for me, originality is not the main criterion for evaluating a band. This is why I think the Franz Ferdinand product is of quality, albeit with some reservations.

It's still an album from the most brilliant and versatile pop band of all time. Sure, it could have been better, considering the presence of maggie mae, dig it, one after 909, which do not do justice to an otherwise valid CD.
