Well, it’s a better album than Vol.3, but it’s absolutely not on par with the first albums: the heavy tracks are convincing enough, Corey’s voice has returned to the levels of Iowa, but there are too many melodic breaks like Stone Sour and too many mediocre tracks. I mean, if Corey likes melody so much, he should just stick with Stone Sour; this stuff with Slipknot has nothing to do with it.
