They're not exactly nu-metal; I'd say post-grunge. No, let’s call them the "nu-metalheads with a grunge twist." I don't agree with what’s written in the review; the album doesn’t strike me as monotonous and boring. There are plenty of beautiful slow songs like "it's been a while," "epiphany," and especially "outside," as well as more aggressive tracks like "for you," "pressure," and "waste," even though melody is always present in their sound. You might not agree, but I really like this album, definitely better than its successor...

Certainly, it's not a flaw if there's an evolution; here they took a step back, and then there's this "linkinparkiana" catchiness. They lost something from Revolution Revolucion (which I also reviewed), the vocal lines are less raw, musically they lose aggressiveness to deliver some "impactful" moments in an attempt to reach as many people as possible. Almost all the songs are ordinary, mediocre pieces; sometimes they remind me of the sounds of other bands (Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Staind); "te amo...i hate you," "how can i live," "when it cuts," and a few others manage to stand out... I like ill nino, but this time they could have done better, I’m hoping for the new album that might come out this year!
