Haha, I read it too! Headbanger metalcore doesn't mean a damn thing; at most, it's just metalcore (headbanger is just a noun that comes from the verb "headbang," which means "to move the head up and down"). Anyway, I really don't think Fear Factory are the progenitors of that genre; they created what experts call "cyber-metal," from which bands like Meshuggah and Static-X drew inspiration...

Come on, man, I’m telling you this from someone who grew up with this genre and knows it inside out... Linkin Park is just a boy band with guitars; they just took advantage of the trend of the moment... P.S.: the current System of a Down sucks for me too :)
