I find NuMetal to be a music that is "adolescent" (like punk) that has simply fused metal (in terms of instrumentation and sounds, but without the depth of the genre) and "commercial" music (understood as mainstream music). What do you mean? Does jazz seem "commercial" to you? Does ethnic music seem "commercial"? Does industrial music seem "commercial"?

Ah sure, the SOAD are now technical, buahaha! Well, I just say respect for a band that has contributed to "evolving" the genre, which was stagnating because it was too attached to the stereotypes dictated by your Maiden and company.

I didn't follow the discussion at all, but in my opinion, Gilmour is wrong from the start.

Omogenex, if you were behind your Iron Maiden, metal would still be in the Stone Age by now. Okay, you think Korn sucks, but you have to admit they gave a big "shake" to the metal world of that time. I mean, regardless of whether you hate them or not, I believe there should be some respect for a band that has nonetheless made a strong contribution to the modern evolution of metal.
