Beautiful.. it’s true that it’s a good best of Mertens being a soundtrack.. imagine my surprise that I knew Mertens when I saw the film but didn’t know he played in it.. struggle for pleasure in the scene of the pure white room of the photography studio.. very nice.. the film is unique, I mean it’s Greenaway, that eccentric English madman.. if you get the chance, watch the gardens of Compton House..

Ah, one more thing... perhaps we should avoid the Scaruffian quotes, but who would have ever known such masterpieces without him?

They were progressive in the eighties with different names.. this magnificent album, however, seems to me to be very little prog.. to me, they seem more like not too distant cousins of Yo La Tengo.. anyway, it's a record that's not easy to review and perhaps not completely "finished", but it's definitely a must-have for anyone who loves the true Nineties... and New York..

Perhaps this monstrous alien contemporary art object deserved better treatment... anyway, the mere reporting is already a positive thing...
