Let me explain the difference: Oasis (also highly overrated) ultimately create an honest, harmless pop-rock that's perfect for filling stadiums and playing on Ferragosto at the beach while you try to make out with the blonde of the moment...still, they’ve made some nice little songs. Radiohead proclaim themselves as gurus of the underground, niche and experimental musicians. Unfortunately for them, they haven't invented anything. They've produced great work (The Bends is excellent, and OK Computer is very good too), but for about 10 years now they’ve been coasting...Kid A has a few good moments, but it leaves me quite puzzled...Honestly, I find Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief unbearable. Let’s just say I don’t understand why they should be recognized as "cool" no matter what they do...a bit like Kubrick, really.
