I downloaded the album before the radio and television bombardment started because I had heard great things about it everywhere. Listened to it and immediately tossed it out. Some stuff just isn't for me. Anyway, the Violent Femmes' cover in electro style screams for revenge.

I just discovered this review now (since I was thinking about writing one myself). "One Fierce Beer Coaster" I might have liked more, but there are still some pieces here that I haven't been able to get out of my head for months (like "Mope," "Three Point One Four," and "The Inevitable Return..."). Hefty Fine, on the other hand, was a huge disappointment; very little from the album stands out. If you want a more detailed idea of how ridiculous they are, you can download from emule the rip of a dvd that we can't find here, "One Fierce Beer Run." It has all the videos from that album and a lot of assorted nonsense. Cheers!

Wow, what a thorough review! I love the "shift from historical pessimism to cosmic pessimism." I only have "Let It Be" by them, which is quite delightful, but as soon as I can, I'll give this one a listen too.
