Mission Of Burma Vs
Voto:
Stratospheric record and spot-on review.
Pixies Doolittle

One of the albums I have listened to the most, an epochal masterpiece. However, the review is rather mediocre.
AA.VV. Platoon (Soundtrack)

The best films about Vietnam are well known; as for the WORST, I would mention "Hamburger Hill": dreadful! An authentic snapshot of Reaganite philosophy; the quote to remember: "we are Marines! We don't start wars, we finish them!". Avoid it like the plague.
AA.VV. Platoon (Soundtrack)
Voto:
Nice film and a decent soundtrack; however, if we compare it to the true masterpieces of the genre ("Apocalypse Now" and "Full Metal Jacket"), it definitely comes up short, both as a film and in terms of music. Good review, although a bit tangled.
Screaming Trees Uncle Anesthesia

Regarding the cover: it is the work of Mark Ryden, a famous American artist; on his website, you can see other of his definitely "sick" works Mark Ryden

A great album that I listened to for a long time; I fully share your preferences for the songs (to which I also add "Beyond This Horizon"). And the cover is simply fantastic.
Easy Star All-Stars Radiodread

I liked "The Dub Side Of The Moon" much more; there's little notable in this one... but to say that "Ok Computer" is superior to "Dark Side..." is at least a bold claim. Anyway, nice review.
The Flaming Lips Clouds Taste Metallic

For me, it's the last decent album of the band, although not on par with their previous works; from here begins the downward trajectory, which continues all the way to the recent (and incredibly boring) "Yoshimi" and "At War..."
Jerry Lee Lewis Last Man Standing
Voto:
Great review, comprehensive and thorough. Jerry Lee Lewis is a living legend!
Oysterhead The Grand Pecking Order

I didn't particularly like it; I prefer Claypool's other projects. It's definitely not a bad album, but given the caliber of the band members, you might have expected something more: many great ideas but few truly significant songs. However, "shadow of a man" is, in my opinion, one of the best tracks, worthy of Primus, not at all "less successful."
