But does this seem like an appropriate way for a good Christian metalhead to speak? Michael Sweet would definitely not approve...

Rockardo VS The Devil, you’re a pathetic idiot. And the fact that you listen to christian metal is proof of it.
The Clash Sandinista!

Mick Jones said that the Clash wanted to make "an album for people working on oil rigs," hinting at both the enormous amount of songs and styles it encompassed (all the music one might need for 5/6 months out at sea) and the fact that, despite being a triple LP, it was sold at the price of a double. A magnificent album.

It's always complicated to express a judgment on FB's albums: on one hand, there are many "purists" of the Pixies, who absolutely didn't like Frank's style evolution and continue to compare every album of his with "Surfer Rosa" and "Doolittle." On the other hand, it's undeniable that the material he kept producing in the following years (let's say up to "Dog In The Sand") is different but still remarkable. This album in particular has always appealed to me more than the others, partly because many songs (which come from the Pixies era) have something extra compared to his other works and partly because I've been listening to it for years and it still hasn't bored me.
MDC Millions of Dead Cops

Well, I admit I said something stupid (it happens): there's no trace of thrash in this album yet; you can hear a bit of it in Smoke Signals, which is from '86 (like in "skateboards from hell"), but here we have a purely hardcore style. And as for the MDC-DRI comparison, I definitely side with MDC (while also appreciating DRI a lot).

@Donjunio: if I had to choose a Frank Black album comparable to the Pixies' discography (in style and quality), I would say this one. "Teenager of the year" I really like, but I find it a bit too fragmented and uneven.
