Daniel Myrick, Eduardo Sanchez The Blair Witch Project
Voto:
Well, "a damn unique anti-aesthetic work" I wouldn't say, since the idea behind the film (and the final scene in particular) has been copied verbatim from Cannibal Holocaust; however, some scenes are spot on and overall it's not as bad as some say.
David Cronenberg Videodrome
Voto:
the manifesto film of Cronenberg's thought, the first where "mutated and mutating" bodies interact with machines, with shocking results. A dreamlike and hallucinatory trip, densely packed with sociological/cultural implications. The special effects (notable) are the work of the wizard Rick Baker (The Howling, An American Werewolf in London, Star Wars, and various others), Nicki is played by Blondie (Deborah Harry)
Modest Mouse We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank

Lemur, how can you deny the resemblance? In "lonesome crowded west" (which I personally like, it's my favorite album of theirs), they play songs that, with a few minor exceptions, openly mirror the style of Black Francis (song structure, voice, sounds, etc.). In fact, at the time of their debut, many criticized them for their excessive similarities (and Brock even had the audacity to say that he doesn't even like the Pixies).

Modest Mouse are very catchy but get tiring quickly (at least for me); I haven't heard this one, but their issue is that they occasionally brush up against plagiarism towards the Pixies.
Dario Argento Suspiria
Voto:
the most horror among Argento's films, definitely one of my favorites. Even though there are 2/3 scenes that feel a bit out of place, it’s still a great movie. Bubi, the films you mentioned (In Cold Blood, The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies, LA Confidential...) have very little to do with Argento's films in general, you can't compare them.
Dario Argento Tenebre
Voto:
decent, but certainly not one of his best films
Francis Ford Coppola La Conversazione
Voto:
beautiful movie, great Gene Hackman, excellent review
Weezer Pinkerton
Voto:
As far as I'm concerned, this is the last album by Weezer; unfortunately, they haven't produced anything significant since. There are several great songs here (Tired Of Sex is my favorite), but there are also some low points; in any case, their masterpiece remains the "Blue Album."

Heinlein
Paul Verhoeven Robocop

I haven't read much by Henlein, just a few stories and "Stranger in a Strange Land." He's not among my favorite authors because I don't like his fixation on military heroes, the constant glorification of war and the United States. On the other hand, he was indeed a military man; during World War II, he was part of a task force of soldiers and scientists studying new weapons and war tactics (Asimov was there too!), so his reactionary ideas are not surprising.
