Carmen Consoli Eva Contro Eva

But how dare you compare Pasolini with that racist and xenophobic harpy Fallaci? Avoid saying such nonsense, since it’s clear you don’t know what you’re talking about. And then, Carmen Consoli is worthless; she shouldn't even be allowed to utter De André's name.

If "Sarà perchè ti amo" by Ricchi e Poveri has a place in a soundtrack, then the Muse can fit in there too :)

Yes, but then how do you explain the little van? When it arrives and stops in front of the house, everyone sees it from the windows... who drives it? I don't remember well now, since it's been several years since I've seen it, but there were a lot of inconsistencies and "gaps" that were impossible to justify.

Yes, I have a certain impatience towards Eastwood (but I acknowledge that as a director he has produced at least 2 great films, "Unforgiven" and "Mystic River"); I didn’t like this one because I found it boring and too full of clichés.

I confirm: I really liked Calvaire. Stunning photography and excellent actors, it’s a kind of Deliverance set in the woods of Belgium. Highly recommended.

Sure, this "new wave of French horror" is making waves! Lately, a ton of incredibly high-quality horror films have been coming from France, with much more depth compared to the usual US productions: films like "Cannibal Love," Ils (in our case "Them"), "Dead End," and Calvaire (this one is really beautiful) have all been a delightful surprise.

Aja has talent, that is undeniable; what he needs, however, is a good screenwriter by his side: such a gratuitous and senseless "final twist" hadn't been seen in a long time. It's a shame, because for the rest of the film, between suspense and various dismemberments, it flows very well.

yes yes, really a masterpiece, how not! Even better than Totò!
George A. Romero Zombi
Voto:
for me, it's one of the best horror films of all time. The other two masterpieces by the director, "La notte..." and Wampyr (or Martin, if you prefer), do not reach these levels. Only a true connoisseur of cinema like Poletti could ever compare Romero's Zombi with Totò...
