Certainly a brave film, but for me, it remains one of Van Sant's least successful; and after a while, boredom inexorably replaces empathy. The cinematography is indeed the best part of the film.

Actually, Tim Burton's first one is the only Batman film (besides this one) that I saw in the cinema, back in '89... and I say that in general there is no comparison with The Dark Knight: Burton's film was a splendid gothic comic book, this one feels like a John Woo movie. As for the Joker, that's another story: they are two completely different interpretations, Nicholson's Joker is much more of a caricature, while Ledger's is objectively more evil and psychopathic.

Great group, 10,000 times better than Teatro... Kemosabe, are you from Pisa too? I saw them play at Giardino Scotto in '97 (there was Sartor on guitar), I'm not sure if it was part of Metarock (currently the shittiest festival on planet Earth).

It's obvious that it's the most immature album; Introduce Yourself is already at another level. But damn, it's a record from 1985... how many bands were there at that time that sounded like this?
