THE REVIEW

Rather mediocre record... MMM MMM

A definitely mediocre band... MMM MMM

They started as yet another tacky Hard-Rock band and didn't sell much at all (400,000 copies for a major label isn't much)... MMM MMM... Caroline, the Virgin subsidiary, got angry ambaraba ci ci cocò... MMM MMM... they wanted the new Nirvana, but it didn't work... Then Uncle Fester, scared of having to go back to selling records in a shabby store listening to Cheap Trick at night while eating bread and cheese, turned to Grunge... MMM MMM... He said to himself: << I'll show them, MMM MMM >>, but only little songs came. Music for girls... MMM MMM.

Loolapalozza: Cobain said yes, but intended to quit the day before. A prank on the people he hated... MMM MMM... Boom Boom, brain on the walls, wandering billboard, let's call the balding one... MMM MMM... and Corgan brings his stratocazzer, his obtuse bassist, the dumb-Japanese guitarist, and the drummer who played with breadsticks... MMM MMM... Dressed for success, waiting on the toilet for the band and music from a Major... MMM MMM. All's well that ends well.

Tons of boredom, lyrics ripped from any 12-year-old girl's diary... MMM MMM... << Disarm with a smile... MMM MMM >>, really dumb stuff... guitars that don't even scratch tissue paper, that's how compressed they are... MMM MMM... Yet another boyband? No, there's a fallback and they're all uglier than each other and then they're also out of tune... MMM MMM... Celestial is the sound of Fester’s adenoids... MMM MMM... Aren't you tired of third-rate bands?...MMM MMM...

<< Today... MMM MMM... is the Day... MMM MMM >> where I send you MMM MMM... Certainly better than what comes before or after, but for this doesn't deserve more than three mediocre stars MMM MMM...

Sad nineties... MMM MMM... Abundant fluff, Majors steering many neurons... MMM MMM... but now we're out... MMM MMM

Simply magnificent, even after ten years it still manages to move me when I listen to it.

With this album the pumpkins invented a genre: their own genre.

"Siamese Dream is the zenith of Smashing Pumpkins' career, far from the exaggerated grandiosity of Mellon Collie, but more sincere and humble."

"Melody and noise alternate fluidly and incredibly satisfyingly in 13 perfect tracks."

Billy Corgan manages to convey deep anger in certain songs, and infinite sweetness in others.

This album definitively marked the group’s worldwide affirmation.

After the excellent debut album...the band led by Mr. Billy releases the album that, without a doubt, changed my idea of music.

The big single arrives, melodic and melancholic, that no one knows how many times it has soothed the troubled moods of a teenager in crisis.

Here we face one of the most heartfelt and visceral works ever produced, and this undoubtedly comes before the musical part.

Siamese Dream best embodies the mood of the angry and in-love youth of the decade, and offers the listener not answers, but rather an angry plea for meaning.
