@giampaz: I meant that here, unlike in Lynch's films, the complexity seems a bit too forced, self-serving. Kelly, with all his parallel universes and time jumps, has too much on his plate without knowing how to manage it... it's something he did in his second film (Southland Tales) as well, which is even more convoluted and inconclusive than Donnie Darko.

Almost everyone has spoken badly about this film... and from what I've read around, I have no trouble believing it.

Saw it for the first time yesterday. A true gem... a film so modern that it seems impossible it’s from '57.

@Giampaz: there are no Lynch films that can be defined as "pretentious" or "inconclusive."
Rob Zombie Educated Horses

he's great but this album is nothing special, certainly not comparable to his old solo albums (not to mention White Zombie).
Michael Haneke Le Temps Du Loup (Il Tempo Dei Lupi)

I also think it's the least successful of Haneke's works, but it still contains many of the elements that make Haneke's cinema great.

I find it quite an exaggeration to call this film a masterpiece. To me, it seemed like an absurdly pretentious and unnecessarily convoluted film… "inconclusive" is exactly the right word. As far as I'm concerned, I'm skeptical of any film that requires FAQs and Wikipedia to be understood.

Batcat is really beautiful; I still need to fully process the rest, but overall it seems to be a great album. And the EP featuring Roky Erickson is the icing on the cake...

I'm not nostalgic for Spaceman3, but all it takes to get me fired up is the Mudhoney cover and the "murky Christmas murder ballad."
