THE AFTERHOURS AND THE MARLENE, LIKE TRIBAL RHYTHM, IL SANTO NIENTE, CSI, AND MASSIMO VOLUME ARE ICONS OF THOSE YEARS, PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T LISTENED TO THOSE ALBUMS SHOULD LISTEN TO THEM, THAT'S IT.

Zanna Bianca, the Marlene are no longer what they were in the 90s. The album might come across as pleasant, but for someone like me who grew up with certain sounds, hearing and appreciating something predictable and I'd say even trivial (even though it's pleasant) certainly leaves something to be desired. Perhaps the guy who reviewed it doesn't know those sounds, dear Zanna Bianca. I'd suggest he listen to the first two albums and maybe the live from '99 HP, etc...

I've seen Marlene Kuntz three times, and I know their sound. I grew up with various Il vile, Catartica, and Ho ucciso paranoia. I built my culture through Tutti giù per Terra and their soundtrack, back when Csi still existed. I dreamed with Nuotando nell'aria, always in the soundtrack of a terrible Jack Frusciante è uscito dal gruppo. But that’s enough, the '90s are over, and certain bands like Afterhours and Marlene should have more respect for themselves and disband. Forget about Sanremo or PFM's covers, come on.. Everything has its limit.
