Great question! I wouldn’t even know how to answer you, in fact. The polymorphism of the soul, as Pirandello said, and so does L’Appestato :D I don’t know, all music seems inextricably linked to itself... you can't listen to an artist without a reminiscence of what’s behind (and when that doesn't happen, voilà the masterpiece), so in this eternal game of references it seems almost natural to pass through opposites towards synthesis. Or maybe it’s a matter of discontent, a continuous search for someone who can express Our personal idea of music? X-file!

Hello everyone, thanks for the comments. @Zaireeka: that album is truly splendid! Personally, I love that kind of sound, so imperfect yet full and colorful, which is characteristic of all the company's productions. If it had been a polished and crystal-clear production, the record would have lost three-quarters of its charm, don’t you think? Then there’s that alternation between Flower Power tracks with choruses reminiscent of the Beach Boys and more avant-garde instrumental parts that drive me crazy. By the way, Jeff also plays here, and in their first EP, he was an official member, only to leave them for this project here. All three, Apples, Neutral, and Olivia, are really remarkable bands, even if a bit quirky. Bien :D

The reception was a bit underwhelming, but okay. They’ve always seemed very Gogol Bordello in style to me, but I don't know much about it. Still, they’re fun to dance to while spraying beer around.

Ah, so I really sent it... well, what can I say, thank you for coming by. But maybe Orwell is right. Actually, yes. IcnarF, in addition to the usual discs, will have some vaguely Eastern accents used in a particular way; for the rest, it’s teetering between brilliance and utter nonsense :D
