Okay, I’m slowly digesting it, very unique. I’d say beautiful. I prefer the "diasporas" part, though; it’s truly remarkable. Repeated thanks for the mention!

You’re practically writing his thesis :D great review, smooth and cheerful. At this point, I’ll avoid it... like the plague!

Oh my God, the singer's voice has always gotten on my nerves. I had the previous album some time ago, but I really just never got into them. It's worth mentioning that they've been around since before the radio explosion of emo and they've always remained true to themselves, it seems. Compared to Fugazi, they stay on the ground, bleeding and wounded. I haven't listened to this album and I don't think I will... anyway, wake up, good job!

Oh crap Trell, you’re right. I’ve always read it as magnum! You know how sometimes your brain just gets stuck... but hey, as his friend, I can call him whatever I want, a mispronunciation is a sign of affection lol

For me, the problem is not the format of the disc. Whether it’s vinyl, cassette (and who still uses those besides me?) or original or burned compact discs, the substance remains the same. The music doesn’t change. Sure, the sound quality may suffer, but that’s the price we pay for mp3s, which can always be decompressed (correct me if I'm wrong). There won’t be the charm of an original cover and booklet in a burned CD, but the important thing is that the message gets through. The point is, we always run the risk of the "gold rush," constantly racing against each other to prove we have more records than others and that we know just a bit more. We’re too impatient, guys; let’s lie back and gaze at the sky sometimes… even if I miss the supermegacollaboration pressed in 603 copies with 2 members of that band plus the singer of that other one plus 3 unsuspecting passersby, no one dies; I’ll catch it later, there’s time for everything. Let’s get back to listening to music, come on, since with this web we can have everything we want. Great job on the review and for the issue raised, Rikii. PS. Nice, I’m downloading it! :D

Do you say Easy? For me, the ones that convinced me less than the Elephant are the Apple in the stereo, while Olivia and Neutral are having quite a showdown. In all the members of the Elephant, as you say, there are various echoes of the "old," but it seems to me they manage quite well to combine traditional elements with more experimental risks (except for the Apple, which I've always found more tied to the genre's canons). Perhaps I'm blinded by the love I have for this artist & friends, but taking a quick glance at the American scene of their time, they seem quite out of the ordinary, at least a nice breath of fresh air. The first piece by Neutral that reached my ears was Marching Theme, and I actually mistook them for Oneida... and then, Song Against Sex! The perfect indie pop song! I like to believe that in their own little way, they've made an imprint on the history of music :) Thanks for the intervention, anyway! And to the others too!
