I had avoided it too... then a singer-songwriter from my area told me that he wrote the bass riff of "crazy" (mediatized hammering) a while back and sent it to BMG, with whom he works... So to give him an opinion, I bought (downloaded) the album and, even though I don’t like the genre, I have to say it’s really a great album! Just like the review, by the way...

I completely agree that it’s a completely avoidable, commercial, and on top of that, horrendous album! However, the review is poorly written, half-baked, and doesn’t describe the album’s content. And I wouldn’t despise the post-Wish productions so much; sure, they may not be on par with Pornography & C, but I’ll repeat, they contain great tracks! Always de gustibus, of course! And remember that Smith has always made his music the way he wanted; just look at Japanese Whispers, which came out after the Dark Trilogy. Or Disintegration, released after the pop period of Kiss Me - The Head... - and The Top... bye!

@mariaelena - perhaps we misunderstood each other, I meant that even in the subsequent albums after Wish there are songs that are excellently interpreted, felt, and successful. As for the rest, don’t worry, I already deeply savor the intensity of the previous ones! Their music is part of me. Albums like 17 seconds, pornography, faith, kiss me kiss me (the ones I love the most) are the soundtrack of my life...
Ps: I'm going to read the review on MixedUp...ciaooo
