How can you give this live a 4?? Several songs were cut/shortened (Is This The World.., Friends Will Be Friends, Seven Seas Of Rhye, etc.), there's no operatic chorus interlude in "Bohemian Rhapsody," I mean, it feels like a record thrown together in half a day and then rushed to print just to pad their bank accounts by a few million pounds. Their worst live for sure!

I completely agree with GrantNicholas's comment; back then, there was an unjust competition to see who could throw more shit at R.E.M., while in reality, this album isn't that bad. Far better than "Reveal," now that was a real half-assed effort.

Angry review written on the spur of the moment, it seems, but in the end there's content. The tape was literally worn out from constant play, but I've never been able to stand "Solo Per Te". It was only years later that I discovered the quote at the beginning of "Questo è il nostro stile" was taken from Spike Lee's film "Do the Right Thing". I knew (or know?) this album by heart from the first to the last word, and I feel no shame...

Cornell, you were very clear, but "Strade di Città" isn't as unknown as you say, besides being a great hip hop album (as commercial as you want, but they knew what they were doing), made by two youngsters from the outskirts of Milan. Unfortunately, I have only heard the two pathetic singles from it.

I actually see a very evident parallel between Rocky on the decline who refuses to be forgotten and pathetically returns to the ring, and Stallone who, after years of making unsuccessful films, returns (very pathetically, indeed) to reinterpret the character that brought him fame. The plot is very simple, the budget is low (no wonder, which production company would have bet on this film?), and there’s a lot of nostalgia. And then that voice actor...

So many memories with this album! Iside, never mind the "pseudo-guru-mystical-saint" Celentano of ours, who with his silences tries to make up for his intellectual mediocrity; this is a pretty thoughtful album with episodes that are anything but predictable (La Luce Del Sole) and interesting even just as "little songs." At least back then he still had something to say, and without taking himself too seriously, the exact opposite of that "phenomenon" he is today.
