By the way, the Kirkwood brothers are back together after 12 years and have released "Rise To Your Knees"... really not bad at all. Get it!

@Surferkangaroo: 1991 was indeed a glorious year! It's just that Soundgarden released "Badmotorfinger" (and excuse me if that's not enough) and not "Superunknown." I'd also throw in a certain "Dirt" by AIC. As for the Meat Puppets, their fate has always been to find themselves in the right place but at the wrong time, although this didn't stop them from producing exceptional albums, like this one, "Huevos," "Meat Puppets 2," and very nice albums like "Mirage," "Forbidden Places," or even "No Joke" in 1995! Sure, compared to what they’ve done, they could have achieved a lot more, but I also have a soft spot for them because of that.

But why doesn't Jimmy Page use the comb that Roberto Bettega advertised years ago, the one that makes hair black again?

Public Enemy How You Sell Soul To A Soulless People Who Sold Their Soul!???

@Caz: If we consider the period from 1988 to 1991 (the time of the 3 albums in question), then if I'm not mistaken the Beastie Boys had released only "Licensed To Ill" and "Paul's Boutique", and there’s no doubt that the latter has aged the least by far, but "Licensed.." no way, it’s from 1986 and that’s where it’s stayed for me. Take it from a fool: listen to the intro of "Fear Of.." + "Brothers Gonna Work It Out", first with headphones to appreciate the devastating and layered beat (every time you catch a different little noise) and then blast it with the stereo. But crank up the subwoofer because the enjoyment increases. At first you’ll get lost, and then you’ll find yourself...happier.

Well, it's true that the choreography of Professor Griff and The Security Of The 1st World is a bit of a joke, but for me, the beauty of Public Enemy lies in the fact that they have different facets, one serious and the other definitely more reckless, like "we're coming and we're gonna smash everything!" But I don't hold it against them. @Caz: the three masterpieces of PE are "It Takes A Nation..", "Fear Of A Black Planet", and "Apocalypse '91", which I still consider essential in the hip hop landscape. Keep in mind that the noisy beats of Terminator X, especially on "Fear Of A Black Planet", weren't made by many back then; in fact, they were made by very few. Actually, they were made by just him. And it was 1990.

Supersoul, maybe I've never considered "Weirdness," and I find it insulting to compare it to their first three masterpieces! For me, the official "albums" (but I find CDs, not vinyls, at the store) remain the first three, that's it.

My favorite among the 3 official CDs by the Stogees. The double version released a couple of years ago is also recommended, I believe it has much longer and mind-blowing versions of "1970" and "Funhouse"! A classic CD for an "altered" evening.

Savickas, the black girls always have their reasons, remember that. The score I give is the average between that of the song in question + its version at Live Earth of "Gimme Shelter" by the Stones (spectacular) + the number of girls I’ve taken to bed, divided by the number of girls who’ve stood me up. If you have any questions, feel free to raise your hand.
