I'm sorry Doctor J, it's clear I made a mistake in writing before, anyway, I was trying to say that even now Cornell's lyrics aren't that bad, although there has been a step back... take the lyrics of Bring 'em back alive, from the first Audioslave album, for example. As for the politics in the songs, but that's just my opinion, I've grown tired of being considered a communist just because of the music I listen to or because I smoke weed, and an extreme politicization of music like in RATM contributes to fueling these prejudices. Bye bye.

great review of a band that nobody gives a damn about, but they are truly amazing, second only to the immense Melvins

Yes, I agree with everything except one thing: Cornell's lyrics are not better than those of Zack de la Rocha (latest news on him: he is supposed to release a solo album that has been announced for months but always postponed, featuring Dj Muggs (Cypress Hill) and other people). It’s certainly not because of the political discourse, which I am "fundamentally" in agreement with, but precisely because I think too much politics poisons the music; I prefer Cornell's lyrics (especially the masterpieces of Superunknown or Down on the Upside) which are much more introspective and "artistic."
