charles, great man. the author of a beautiful song like "goodbye pork pie hat" can only be a genius, and I'm saying this as someone who doesn’t know a thing about jazz. I don’t have the album in question, but utmost respect for mingus and five stars for the album on trust.

Doctor, I grew up with Pearl Jam, and I loved them madly, up to No Code (especially Vitalogy is amazing), but the reality is that they haven't made an album up to the standards of Vs or Ten for at least fifteen years. Usually, reviews that want to sound poetic really annoy me, but I liked this one. It reminded me of my camping trips at 14, playing "Daughter" by Pearl Jam every day in the campsite, and the first joints. How nice it was to be young and ignorant, when you could still have fun with little and you still liked those little bands.

I totally agree with regular joan (but the nickname is a tribute to qotsa, isn’t it?), the review is nice but this album disappointed me quite a bit compared to the others. I only see one thing differently: their best album will always be Screamadelica. An incredible record, not at all like those idiots, the Jesus and Mary Chains.
