They're not among my favorites, but I always enjoy listening to Camel. I only know this one, though, and "Mirage."

Guys, I just listened to this album for the first time, it's truly remarkable, it doesn't even sound like it's from '73 in some respects, it seems more recent, maybe because it's extremely varied and innovative. The tracks are excellent, stunning sound effects. "the era of technology" seems a bit cold to me, though. Anyway, this is just my initial listen that definitely needs further exploration.

Tom Traubert, you say it's a surgical operation, so were there artificial overdubs done on unreleased versions of the songs on the album? I don't know. Anyway, I'm a bit curious to listen to it, even though I've set the Beatles aside for years.

If it's material retrieved from archives, then they are not the originals but different versions. At least, that's how I understood it.

Of course, in his solo albums, this evolution is quite evident; it's a shame that things turned out the way they did. Sometimes I wonder what would have come from a collaboration between Fripp + Barrett or Barrett + Hammill. What a pity.

Ah now I remember, Dave, you took it personally for Syd Barrett, but you completely misunderstood me. Syd is great, there’s no denying that, but unfortunately he didn’t have the time to evolve like Fripp or Gabriel or whoever else you want to mention. That’s all. I didn’t mean to say he was lesser than other "greats."

Okay Dave, Jon, maybe sometimes we fall into the trap of age, expecting to have to teach someone something just because they are younger. If I gave you that impression, it’s probably true, but it was unintentional. I see that you know artists I wasn't even aware of, so as you can see, I don't treat you like a little kid just starting out. :o)
Madonna Confessions On A Dancefloor

very pleasant album. I have no doubt that Madonna didn't "invent" anything and that she has imitated Donna Summer (quite a few times in her career). We just need to take this music for what it is, which is very refined and well-crafted dance.
