Well done, Kecco, I share your bitterness for such rubbish. Anyway, I don't think the young lady in question is anything special either. If you want to listen to a lovely girl who sings well and good stuff, check out Joss Stone, a blonde who sings like a black woman; she does soul. Very talented.

I agree, I certainly don't consider the Lamb a manifesto of Prog; the masterpieces that best represent it are others. You can clearly perceive the foresight of Gabriel and co. in foreseeing that by '74 the "genre" had already given everything, at least in the realm of symphonic or baroque prog, as you want to call it.

Yes, all in all, I agree with you even though I prefer to call myself "Gabrielian," which sounds better :-). There's not much from this album that I save because the commercial pop turn of the Genesis really rubs me the wrong way. I admit the flagship track is a good example of pop, but I hardly remember the others, and I don't feel inclined to give this album more than 3.
