Dear cimmino@, whether Scorsese is overrated or not, I don't know, but speaking from my point of view, I can say for sure that he has created undisputed masterpieces (Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Mean Streets, Raging Bull, After Hours) and great films (Gangs of New York, New York, New York, Cape Fear, and Shutter Island). However, in my humble opinion, this is his least successful work.
