A huge album in its simplicity. Deep, psychedelic, dark, it sounds exactly like the stoner psych of my dreams should sound. There is one small issue, already partially highlighted in the first work: the repetitiveness. It is clearly intentional, but it ultimately affects the final judgment. 8/10
OM Variations On A Theme

I'm just starting to listen to them now: this first CD convinced me. There’s a hypnotic atmosphere deliberately drawn out to infinity, and Cisneros builds foundational stone monuments. It’s true that there’s also an undeniable underlying repetitiveness: frankly, I didn’t find much difference between the three (very long) pieces, except for some minimal variation. Overall, however, it gave me a decidedly positive feeling. 7.5/10

A great film, a gem that deserves to be rediscovered. (8/10)

Never particularly loved. How to say, too verbose...

The Black Angels Phosphene Dream
Voto:
A more concise work than "Directions," which exposed itself too much to "digressions" that the band doesn’t seem to fully possess. Better the more sustained and "easy" rhythms of this "Phosphene Dream." "True Believers" is one of their best tracks. (8/10)
