This morning I woke up with a porn breath.

"We're in the field of pop. We're not bringing out culture. Clearly, Canali and Maroccolo are something else." Beatles, Japan, Depeche Mode, Air, Franco Battiato, Arcade Fire, Steely Dan, Queen... I had to mention even bands I didn't like, but damn it, what the hell does it mean that pop has nothing to do with culture? It doesn't mean a damn thing. If you like it a lot and it entertains you, listen to this all-Italian crap, treat yourselves like healthy mental midgets. P.S.: Pop culture, never heard of it, right?

"Pop Porno" honestly sucks. I won't listen to the rest of the album, call it prejudice, but if those who speak well of this album consider pop porno an irresistible track (and therefore have lost their hearing), that's enough for me to stay away.

Ah ok, I was just trying to understand what sparked one of the dumbest posts I've ever read in my life.

"I'm really starting to think that in the future, a license will be required to play in public or record albums (just like the one for driving a vehicle), which certifies that the undersigned at least knows how to read a staff)" -------------> What the hell does that mean? And above all, what does it have to do with the review?

One of the most interesting albums I've listened to so far in 2008, even though I'm not fully convinced. It seems to waver between singer-songwriter style and experimental noise, and in both areas it alternates between divine performances (the Blue Room, Smooth Jazz) and somewhat formulaic pieces (Lucky Lucky Luck, nice but with a tremendous déjà vu). The title track is devastating, though... these days it doesn't surprise much.

I know Steven Wilson doesn’t sing, but the other one still brings me down, so I start to think it’s still Wilson’s fault.

There are some gems, one above all: Pigeon Drummer, but overall it’s a work that doesn’t particularly impress; it’s well done, but with a production that almost seems to take away breath and warmth from the sounds, just because it's so polished, and a voice that frankly doesn’t say much to me, and these two characteristics are starting to make all of Steven Wilson's albums a bit unbearable for me.
Oasis Dig Out Your Soul

The best album by Oasis among those I've heard. It deserves a 2.5 rounded down to 2, because the voice of that handicapped Liam makes me feel nauseous as always.
