@ CHICKEN NOOSE: I recommend a psychologist.

@ CHICKEN NOOSE: A necessary clarification, since every year thousands (millions?) of records are released, and therefore I must specify that I have only listened to a small portion to convey that this is, in my opinion, the best of that tiny subset of records released this year that I have listened to: an infinitesimal percentage. I know quite a few people who listen to many more records than I do. Now, let’s move on to the next pointless controversy, who's next?

Among the albums I've listened to this year (not many, at most about forty), it's my favorite; it left me speechless. I find it perfect in every part despite its length. The review has the merit of discussing it, but I strongly disagree on a lot of points; for instance, I really struggle to find any hip hop metrics in it.
Serena-Maneesh N°2 - Abyss in B minor

Simply disgusting. The problem isn't just the déjà entendu, but the fact that the tracks are completely random with no hint of inspiration during the composition phase. In such a void of ideas, rhythmic and melodic harmonies, all the clichés present on the album that are typical of shoegaze (abrasive guitars with endless reverbs, fallen angel vocals, blacksmith-style drumming—it's got it all) become even more of a nuisance.

Wow, is that the trumpeter from Hancock's Empyrean Isles? I only know the one from the album he's on, but he's divine there, so I'll get this one then.
David Sylvian Sleepwalkers

Mh, I get it. Well, I said that because I don't see it as a relevant judgment regarding music. Yes, it can be annoying, but who cares? As for the concessions to fans, I don’t see what more he should give beyond his music (and he continues to make albums) and his concerts...

Presumption, arrogance, snobbery... I don't understand where you see that; did you talk to him one day and he told you he feels superior to others? In the lyrics? No, because music itself cannot suggest such characteristics in a character you don't know.

It’s truly fascinating to see people who never change and remain miraculously identical to themselves; these individuals will probably still twist and burp into the microphone even at 80 years old, without even contemplating the distant possibility of expressing themselves differently, and all of this is terribly captivating.

At the time, I listened to Biosphere and it left me absolutely indifferent; I find it vastly inferior to the ambient works of people like Steve Roach or Robert Rich. Maybe this one is better; I’ll get my hands on it.

@ Alexander77: Of course I can't expect it, in fact I don't expect it (I haven't written it anywhere), but I can't help feeling immense annoyance at the paradox that lies before my eyes.
